Mountainview High School is a state co-educational school of 500 students, located in Timaru, South Canterbury. We have a warm whānau environment inside beautiful school grounds and well-resourced classrooms.

Mountainview High School is seeking a passionate physical education and health teacher for this well-established learning area. Mountainview High School offers a supportive and inclusive environment where staff and students are encouraged to thrive in all areas, including health, fitness and sports.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum including NCEA.
  • Good understanding of health and safety in the physical education spaces.
  • An ability to build relationships with students.
  • Strong classroom management practices.
  • An understanding of the health curriculum up to Y11.
  • Knowledge of and ability to teach outdoor education would be beneficial and would include additional management unit(s) for a suitable candidate.
