Role: Field Service Engineer (Print / Photocopiers)

Location: Central London - Walking

Company Overview:

We are actively seeking a skilled MFD Technician or a Field Service Engineer (FSE) with transferable skills from sectors such as EPOS, ATM, or IT Hardware. The role involves servicing and maintaining high-end, quality Photocopiers/MFDs to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain and repair a full range of MFP & Production Print equipment according to technical specifications.
  2. Respond to field technical calls at client premises as directed, ensuring timely and efficient on-site repairs.
  3. Maintain accurate technical records using PDA service support tools and communicate with call control as needed.
  4. Organize and maintain a vehicle or on-site spare parts kit to minimize Return to Fit (RTF) calls.
  5. Ensure tools, technical manuals, and other equipment are available, complete, and in safe condition.
  6. Manage cloud-based digital document repository access through regular online synchronization of provided laptop tools.
  7. Ensure the company vehicle is maintained according to procedures and kept clean and presentable.
  8. Maintain accurate work expense records and submit them with receipts on time.
  9. Attend technical training courses, seminars, and online training modules to maintain technical skills and product awareness.
  10. Collaborate with other departments to promote efficient operational service.
  11. Communicate regularly within the Technical Department regarding technical observations to support customer or equipment-related issues.
Essential Qualifications:
  1. Competent technician with experience in repairing and maintaining IT hardware devices such as ATM, EPOS, Laptops, and desktop printers.
  2. Connectivity experience (e.g., installing print drivers and connecting basic printers to simple networks).
  3. High competency in diagnostic fault finding.
  4. DBS and SC Vetting are mandatory requirements for this role.
Desirable Qualifications:
  1. Advanced IT networking/connectivity experience (e.g., setting up network scanning, full MFP installation on print servers).

  2. Adhere to all client processes and procedures while on-site.
  3. Analytical problem-solving approach to difficult situations.
  4. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle conflict.

  6. Full, clean driving licence.
Package:

Up to £31,000 - Monday to Friday only - sociable working hours
