Phlebotomist - Private Sector - Owestry - Our Future Health

Job Title: Phlebotomist
Banding: 2 & 3
Location: Owestry
Rate: £18.00 - £25.78

Pulse is recruiting experienced Phlebotomists/Healthcare Support Workers for a role in the Owestry area. Our hourly pay rates are between £18.00 - £25.78.

Our Future Health is the UK's largest ever health research programme - it's been specifically designed to help people live healthier lives for longer. Volunteers provide physical measurements, blood samples and lifestyle data to help with the discovery and testing of more effective approaches to disease prevention, early detection and treatment. Pulse is proud to be supporting Our Future Health on this pivotal project.

The shifts are flexible, and you can work from 1 to 2 shifts a week up to full time with the shifts available below:

  • Monday to Friday 8.15am - 4.45pm
  • Saturday 8.45am - 4.15pm
  • Sunday 10.45am to 4pm
What will your responsibilities be?

You will conduct measurements for height, weight, and waist, as well as check heart rate and blood pressure, recording all findings in the system. Additionally, you will draw blood samples, label them accurately, and store them properly. Throughout the appointment, you will monitor the participants' welfare and escalate any concerns, as necessary.

Qualifications and Experiences:
  • A Certificate in Phlebotomy
  • Minimum of one year's active experience drawing blood.
  • Experience in taking patient observations
  • Excellent patient care skills
  • Immediate holder of the Right to Work in the UK.
