We’re looking for someone who loves building relationships and is passionate about high value fundraising. You will have relevant charity fundraising experience with exceptional writing skills to create compelling applications and proposals for funding. In this role you will have a mixed portfolio of high value trusts, grantmakers and major donors, to support the implementation of the Philanthropy strategy to reach new audiences and increase sustainable income growth. You will contribute to our capital fundraising campaigns and the development of special projects under our fundraising pillars: Magic, Equipment, Campus and Community, Research, Innovation and Education, and Advocacy.
You will also manage a wide variety of internal stakeholder relationships with senior colleagues in Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.

The charity is currently conducting a four-day working week trial, due to end on 31st March 2025. This means that, for example, staff previously working 37.5 hours a week are now working 30 hours a week to enable a four-day working week. The trial is monitoring the benefits of a four-day working week against productivity.
