LOCUM Band 5 Pharmacy Technician - High Pay, Flexible Contract in Birmingham!

JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you a Band 5 Pharmacy Technician looking for a rewarding locum role in Birmingham? We have an exciting opportunity with great pay and flexibility!

Job Title: Band 5 Pharmacy Technician

Location: Birmingham

Duration: 3-month contract+

Schedule: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 30-minute lunch break

Start Date: ASAP

Rate of Pay: £17ph-20ph

What You'll Be Doing:

  1. Perform locker checks to ensure accurate storage of medications
  2. Conduct medication reconciliation to ensure accurate patient medication records
  3. Carry out the destruction of controlled drugs in accordance with safety protocols
  4. Assist with stock management and supply of medications
  5. Work closely with pharmacy teams to maintain patient safety and support treatment plans

Requirements & Qualifications:

  1. Experience in pharmacy settings, particularly with locker checks, medication reconciliation, and controlled drug destruction
  2. A current and valid GPhC registration
  3. Strong communication and organisational skills
  4. The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  5. A commitment to delivering safe and effective pharmaceutical care

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This role requires availability from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break. The contract duration is 3 months, with the possibility of extension depending on service needs and performance.
