Hours: Full-Time, Monday - Friday (5 days per week)

Pay Rate: £18 - £25 per hour (depending on experience)

Contract Duration: Minimum 6 months

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Start Date: November/December 2024 (ASAP)

Are you an experienced Pharmacy Technician with expertise in Aseptics?

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our client's pharmacy team at an NHS hospital in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a passion for aseptic preparation to contribute to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Preparing and dispensing aseptic medications, including chemotherapy, intravenous preparations, and other sterile products.
  2. Ensuring compliance with safety standards and aseptic technique guidelines.
  3. Contributing to the smooth running of the aseptic unit, including stock management and equipment maintenance.
  4. Providing mentorship and support to junior staff and trainees.
  5. Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.

Requirements:

  1. Recognised Pharmacy Technician qualification (BTEC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  2. GPhC registration as a Pharmacy Technician.
  3. Minimum of 6 months experience working with aseptic services, including preparation of chemotherapy and other sterile products.
  4. Knowledge of aseptic techniques, health and safety regulations, and relevant pharmacy legislation.
  5. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable:

  1. Post-registration qualifications in aseptic services.
  2. Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical setting.
