Pharmacy Technician - ACT/MMT - London - Band 5

Are you an experienced ACT/MMT Pharmacy Technician who's looking for a new long term locum opportunity within an NHS Hospital in London?

We are searching for an experienced ACT / Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician who has experience covering wards. We can offer you more flexibility and better hours. How does being paid weekly sound to you?

We are looking for a GPHC registered, NHS Hospital experienced ACT/MMT Pharmacy Technician to work with our NHS Hospital client in London. If you're looking for your next challenge, congratulations! You've just found it!

  2. Location: Central London
  3. Duration: 6 months minimum
  4. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5:30pm, 1 hour break
  5. Start Date: October/November 2024
  6. End Date: Ongoing
  7. Rate of pay: £18ph - £24ph depending on experience

A Day in the Life of an ACT/MMT Pharmacy Technician

  1. To provide a medicines management service to acute wards and participate in dispensary sessions.
  2. To work closely with the Senior Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists to assist in the daily running of the Medicines Management ward-based service.
  3. To use the Pharmacy and other computer systems to carry out all tasks in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring a safe and efficient Pharmacy service while delivering the highest quality patient care.
  4. To supply medication suitably labelled for discharge, including checking the suitability of patient's own medication.
  5. To transcribe drug histories or reconciled drug charts to the 'Discharge notification' section on or during admission.
  6. To accurately check the dispensing of other members of the department.
  7. To communicate accurate information to patients, carers, members of pharmacy and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements and Qualifications

  1. Current and valid registration with the GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician
  2. NHS Hospital experience
  3. ACT and MM qualification
  4. Ability to communicate efficiently and work well with the team
  5. Reliable

Working Hours and Contract Duration

This position will require you to work from Monday to Friday, 9am - 5:30pm, 1 hour break. The contract is for 6 months minimum.
