The face of Primary Care is changing, and we will support and mentor our Pharmacy Technicians to deliver medication reviews, research, reports, audits, contribute to QOF work, and drive safety and performance in a busy, modern, General Practice setting.
Our current Pharmacy Technicians have gone on to undertake specialist practitioner qualifications in Diabetes and Asthma; they are reviewing long-term conditions, delivering health checks, administering flu vaccines, planning and managing their own workload (under the supervision of our GPs, nurses and pharmacists), and training and developing junior members of the department.

As detailed above, we are looking to grow and develop our Pharmacy Technician team, and invite applications from Pharmacy Technicians at varying points in their careers, whether you are new to Primary Care or an experienced General Practice Pharmacy Technician.
Experience of working in a primary care setting would be advantageous; however, full training, development and support will be provided to the successful candidates.
The Pharmacy Technician will need to have excellent interpersonal/communication skills and be able to work independently as well as part of our team.
Boroughbury Medical Centre has a dynamic, motivated and friendly team with a passion for education and development. We are a registered training practice and are actively involved in research. BMC is housed in modern, purpose-built premises, caring for a diverse patient population of over 45,000 patients across two sites. We have a very experienced and highly skilled clinical team of Doctors, ANPs, Nurses, Paramedics, HCAs, 6 Clinical Pharmacists and 3 Pharmacy Technicians.
