We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Warrington to assist with the appointment of a Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant on a 1-month contract, likely to be extended at the client's discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £12.21 - £14.78 per Hour

Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering efficient dispensary operations while ensuring the safe and accurate handling of medicines in compliance with legal and professional standards.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure efficient dispensary operations and minimize dispensing losses.
• Accurately handle and dispense all medicines (NHS & private).
• Comply with legal, professional, and company SOP requirements.
• Assist in delivering all pharmacy services where appropriate.
• Provide safe and accurate advice on medicines, including OTC medication.
• Manage all aspects of dispensing, including ordering medicines, labelling, endorsing, and claiming.

Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services / Dispensing Assistant qualification (GPhC accredited).

Experience:

• Previous experience working in a community pharmacy, preferably with knowledge of Pharmacy Manager software.

Essentials:

• Candidates must provide evidence of completing a Dispensing Assistant or Healthcare Assistant training program. Medicines Counter Assistant training alone is not sufficient for this role.
• Working NHS Smartcard.
