About the Role

Availability Window:

  1. Sun: 10:00 - 16:00
  2. Mon: 11:00 - 20:00
  3. Tue: 10:00 - 19:00
  4. Fri: 11:00 - 20:00
  5. Sat: 11:00 - 20:00

Our Pharmacy Dispenser rate of pay starts from £12.44 an hour; this increases to £13.57 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

It's our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you'd like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too.

Every day you'll have the opportunity to make things better for customers in all sorts of ways, such as helping customers with their new medicines, providing vaccinations, reviewing customers' use of their medicines, and checking blood pressure or testing for blood glucose levels.

Working alongside experienced Pharmacists and managers, you will receive local management and leadership support in whatever store you are based. We are looking for talented and driven Pharmacy professionals who can deliver the highest quality healthcare service to our customers.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  1. Supporting the operation of one of our new modern Pharmacies.
  2. Applying your technical skills and strong customer focus to accurately dispense medication for our customers.
  3. Dispensing prescription medicines, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy are maintained at all times.
  4. Talking to customers and offering information in a confident, friendly and professional manner.
  5. Offering appropriate information to customers on common ailments, symptoms and products.
  6. Taking time to understand the customers' needs and explaining the benefits of the products.
  7. Advising customers on the range of Pharmacy services available.
  8. Supporting and delivering Pharmacy services and the dispensing process according to the Standard Operating Procedures.
  9. Assessing the legal appropriateness of dispensed prescriptions.
  10. Responding to customer queries in relation to prescription medicines.
  11. Ensuring all dispensary routines and Standard Operating Procedures are followed.
  12. Ensuring dispensary and consulting rooms are clean, tidy and free of clutter.
  13. Ensuring all prescription administration is accurate and completed on time.
  14. Completing corporate and departmental training.
  15. Keeping up to date with legal and professional developments in pharmacy.
Requirements

You will need:

  1. Experience or qualifications gained from working in a Pharmacy environment.
  2. A desire to train and develop into the Pharmacy field.
