It is an exciting time for The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, as we expand our capacity in the aseptic pharmacy suite at CCCL. This has provided an exciting opportunity for a Band 2 Pharmacy Assistant which is an important position within our large, diverse and friendly pharmacy team.

Working pattern will be 37.5 hours per week, 8am-6pm over 4 days per week.

In this role you will have:

  1. A pass in GCSE English, Maths and a Science or equivalent.
  2. Enrollment onto the NVQ II Pharmacy Services or equivalent to progress you further in the role.

In summary you will:

  2. Maintain asepsis in the clean room environment through good working practices.

  4. Support ordering, receiving, rota and maintain all stocks within the department.
  5. Compile documentation for quality control and quality assurance to adhere to licensing requirements of the department and within the trust.

With 1,800 specialist staff and three sites, we are one of the largest NHS providers of non-surgical cancer treatment. The Trust has a unique multi-site care model serving the 2.4 million population across Cheshire and Merseyside and is consistently rated by patients as one of the best performing hospitals.

Our vision is to not only maintain this level of commitment to excellence but to work with our academic and healthcare partners across the region to ensure care, treatment and patient outcomes continuously improve in the future. We are very proud of all our expert and loyal staff and we welcome people who share the collective aim of delivering excellence in everything that we do.
