An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join their innovative healthcare team. This role focuses on medication management and involves collaborating with various healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of pharmacy services in a prison setting. You will play a crucial role in optimizing patient care and implementing policies that uphold the organization's values. If you are passionate about making a difference in healthcare and have the skills to deliver exceptional care, this is the perfect opportunity for you to thrive in a supportive and dynamic environment.
HMP Liverpool is a Category B male prison with an excellent HMIP/CQC Report (published 14th January 2020). Better Health Liverpool (BHL) has transformed the healthcare service into a dynamic, forward-thinking place of work where staff are supported and valued for their contribution. The healthcare team has been recognised for their outstanding practice and collaborative partnerships.
We have a vacancy for an outstanding medication management focused Pharmacist to engage with this award-winning team in continuing its healthcare transformation. The role will be Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week.
The welcome payment is payable to new candidates joining Spectrum Community Health CIC.
The role will involve the overall daily organisation, planning and co-ordination of all pharmacy services on-site. The post holder will work with the Medicines Management Pharmacist, other Spectrum Specialist Prison Pharmacists, Lead GP, other GPs, and pharmacy staff on site, our partners and the prisons to ensure prison pharmacy services are of the highest quality.
In line with the well-being model of healthcare, the post holder, through a partnership approach, will also help patients to optimise their medicines by tailoring medicines and support to the individual patient needs. Experience of offender health is desirable; however, we would welcome an individual who is multiskilled across complex care pathways. The role requires excellent communication skills and dynamic work practices. We are looking for somebody who can deliver at least equivalent care to that of the community. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing policy and procedure and will need to be able to support the nursing team to ensure care of the highest standard. The post holder will work to uphold Spectrum Community Health’s Values.
