Exciting Opportunity for a Pharmacist to Join Our Primary Care services in Milton Keynes!

Are you a dedicated and experienced pharmacist looking to make a real impact in primary care? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Pharmacist to join our dynamic clinical team and play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care. This role is based at one of our surgeries in Milton Keynes: Brooklands Health Centre, Whitehouse Surgery, and Neath Hill Health Centre.

As a Pharmacist, you will be at the forefront of patient care and support, working closely with GP practices to provide expert guidance on medicines, repeat prescriptions, and pharmaceutical care. You'll be an essential part of a multidisciplinary team, using your extensive experience to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.

While we prefer a full-time commitment, we are also open to part-time candidates.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Providing expert services and support to patients registered with our Hub.
  • Offering clear and accessible advice on medicines, repeat prescriptions, and general pharmaceutical queries.
  • Assisting with prescribing, medicines optimization, and high-risk drug management audits across primary care sites.
  • Using critical thinking and effective communication skills to assess and address patient needs.
  • Prescribing urgent prescriptions and ensuring accurate re-prescribing using summary care record information.
  • Identifying and addressing clinical risks in line with professional responsibilities.
  • Keeping clear, accurate, and timely records of all consultations and advice given.
  • Actively engaging with colleagues to deliver outstanding service.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Have completed the CPPE General Practice Pharmacist Pathway.
  • Be a Non-Medical Prescriber.
  • Have extensive experience working in a primary care setting.
  • Have a passion for continuing professional development.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage workload and support pharmacy-related tasks with confidence.
  • Be committed to delivering high-quality patient consultations and care.
