Qualifications

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Belmarsh. HMP Belmarsh is a category A Prison located in South East London, close to Plumstead and Woolwich Arsenal stations. The prison houses around 675 patients with a variety of needs including complex physical and mental health. Within this role, you will be working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team in a busy pharmacy, delivering a high-quality service, assisting team supervision, and providing advice on medicines management.
Suitable applicants should have at least 1 year of experience within a hospital setting.

Hours

Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 17:00 (37.5 hours per week)

Salary

This position is full-time; you'll receive an annual salary up to £60,926 per annum - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

As the Clinical Pharmacist, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
  • Ensure the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service
  • Provide expert advice on pharmaceutical matters and ensure a safe and modern medicines management service
  • Lead a team of Pharmacy technicians

Qualifications & Experience
  • GPhC registered Pharmacist.
  • Vocational Master's Degree in Pharmacy including pre-registration training
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience developing effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
