Petroleum Service Technician

Job Overview:

The primary function of the Petroleum Service Technician is to service existing fuel dispensers, POS systems and underground submersible systems. This is a full-time position reporting to the Petroleum Compliance and Service Manager.

Primary Duties:

• Troubleshoot and repair petroleum dispensing systems
• Provide technical support in the field
• Perform repairs and software upgrades on existing POS systems
• Perform service calls on an after-hours basis
• Understand and comply with all State and Federal regulations
• Proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
• Read and interpret safety/employment manuals and other work-related documents
• Work extended hours outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Follow written and verbal instructions
• Follows company quality, safety and environmental guidelines as well as employee handbook policies
• Good interpersonal and leadership skills
• Able to handle high stress situations and a decision maker
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Able to lift 80 pounds of necessary equipment; Able to push and pull 75 pounds. Ability to climb a ladder.
• Handle exposure to dust, fumes, heights and high noise levels
• Operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
• Perform any duties as may be assigned
• Availability to be on-call 24/7
