Peters, Fraser & Dunlop: International Rights Assistant

A new vacancy for an enthusiastic, dynamic and highly motivated International Rights Assistant has opened within literary agency Peters, Fraser + Dunlop

Peters Fraser + Dunlop is one of London's leading literary agencies, providing specialist expertise to its clients in all aspects of publishing and media. We represent a wide-ranging list of clients including high profile authors such as Danielle Steel, Simon Schama, Bear Grylls, Edna O'Brien and Jeanette Winterson. The Foreign Rights team also sells rights for clients represented by David Godwin Associates and Morgan Green Creatives.

The candidate will have a genuine interest in international rights, a keen eye for detail and will be proficient in managing a high volume of administration work in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will be a crucial part of the international rights team and will be able to maintain strong relationships with all our contacts as well as working closely with other PFD departments including primary agents.

Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Preparing rights guides and schedules for book fairs and international trips.
- Working closely with our contracts assistant and ensuring department databases (including BP) are up to date.
- Supporting the international rights team with day-to-day tasks including event planning and meeting organisation.
- Assisting with foreign cover approvals and liaising with foreign publishers and translators.
- Liaising with authors, agents and co-agents.
- General office administration for the department - acting as the first point of contact for the team.

The candidate will be highly organised, articulate over phone and email, and be a passionate reader of both fiction and non-fiction. Experience preferable but not necessary.

This will be a hybrid role with a requirement to be in the office three days a week and an option to work remotely for two. The office is a Central London location. Find out more about the company and our clients on our website: https://www.petersfraserdunlop.com/about-us/.

Starting salary will be £24,000. To apply, please send your CV and covering letter to Antonia Kasoulidou (akasoulidou@pfd.co.uk) by Friday 15 December.

PFD reserves the right to close the application process early if we have found the right candidate.
