Role:
The Peter Coke Shell Gallery in Sheringham is open from May – October between 12 – 4pm daily. As a volunteer, you would become part of the weekly roster of volunteers who typically work two hours once per week.
The volunteer’s role involves:
A full induction training will be given to volunteers to ensure they are confident and comfortable in their role.
Time commitment:
2 hour sessions from 12 noon – 2pm or 2pm – 4pm depending on your availability. Fill-in sessions are often needed.
About the organisation:
The Peter Coke Shell Gallery in Sheringham contains an exhibition of almost 200 stunning shell-art sculptures and beautiful arrangements, made with shells from all over the world – all the work of one man. Peter Coke (1913-2008), actor and playwright, made the delicate sculptures during his retirement, from shells he had collected all his life.
The Sheringham and District Society manage the Peter Coke Shell Gallery and maintain this wonderful collection of shell art.
