Job description:
PPM Recruitment is looking for Pest Control technicians for a client that is a long-established business carrying out pest control services throughout London & England. They have grown over the last 9 years through building a reputation for professionalism, a great team, and often exceeding client expectations. They mainly look after commercial clients throughout Greater London and the South East of England.

Ideal Candidates will hold the professional qualification of RSPH Level 2 Qualified Technician.

Service Technician Job Description & Responsibilities:
Technicians are responsible for carrying out pest management treatments and proofing works in commercial sites such as hotels, restaurants, cinemas, office blocks, NHS hospitals, housing associations, and universities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Completing routine inspections, follow-up inspections, and call-out inspections.
  2. Attending emergency call outs within required timescales.
  3. Carrying out pest control treatments in accordance with company and trade standards.
  4. Carrying out pest ingress proofing works.
  5. Writing detailed electronic treatment reports following each visit, advising on any housekeeping or habitat management recommendations.
  6. Supporting other team members when required.
  7. Maintaining & servicing Electric Fly Killing Machines.
  8. Completing their own risk assessments.
  9. Following the operations teamwork schedules and work plans.
  10. Providing on-call weekend cover (subject to rota - roughly twice a year).
  11. Attending training days and continuous development.
  12. Good communication skills, literate, and able to communicate in English.
  13. Ability to follow procedures.
  14. Ability to work within a team.
  15. Enthusiastic, keen to learn and progress.
  16. Good timekeeping and the ability to meet deadlines.

Benefits:

  2. Overtime: Additional hours paid at time and a half.
  3. Extra nights worked in the week paid as £100 with the next day off.
  4. Weekend nights worked (Friday or Saturday night) paid as £200.
  5. Attending site to lay down glue boards or carry out spray treatment paid as £80.
  6. After 1 year of employment, employees are eligible to have their birthday off (as an additional day, not taken as part of your annual leave entitlement) subject to overall performance and low absence levels.

Schedule:
8 hour shift, Monday to Friday.
