Job description

Pest Control Technician - Slough, Berkshire

We are looking for a skilled Pest Control Technician to join our fantastic client in Slough, Berkshire. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients by effectively managing and controlling pests in Slough and the surrounding areas.

This is a Temporary to Permanent position offering a starting pay of GBP15.38, along with weekly pay. You will also receive a Company Vehicle, Full PPE as well as a variety of benefits.

During this job you will:

  1. Conduct thorough inspections of client premises to identify and assess pest infestations.
  2. Develop and implement effective pest control strategies, including the use of approved pesticides and trapping methods.
  3. Perform pest extermination using safe and approved techniques to eliminate infestations.
  4. Provide clients with expert advice on pest prevention and maintenance for a pest-free environment.
  5. Maintain accurate records of inspections, treatment plans, and client interactions.
  6. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pest control measures, making necessary adjustments for optimal results.
  7. Stay updated with industry best practices, regulations, and advancements in pest control.

To be successful you will need:

  1. BPCA/RSPH Level 2 Certificate in Pest Management
  2. Strong knowledge of pest identification, behaviour, and treatment methods
  3. Ability to handle and apply pesticides safely and responsibly
  4. Familiarity with relevant industry legislation and standards
  5. Experience working with commercial clients across various industries
  6. Physical fitness and adaptability to work in different environments
  7. Valid UK driving licence
  8. No allergies to bees, wasps, or other insects
