We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Solicitor to join a busy Personal Injury department for a well-established firm in Nottingham city centre (NG1).

The role of Personal Injury Solicitor will involve:

• Looking after your own case load and assisting on other complex matters.
• Advise and represent clients by undertaking fee earning tasks and promoting the efficient management of the personal injury department's activities.
• Offer support and guidance to junior colleagues and staff within the department.
• Contribute to the efficient and profitable performance of the department.
• Assist and participate with training initiatives taken by the firm.
• Comply with SQM and all internal transaction criteria and procedures.
• Comply with the firm's Office Manual.
• Maintain client confidentiality and legal professional privilege.
• Contribute to monitoring and maintenance of file review system.
• Assist with induction and training of newly recruited staff.

The ideal candidate for the role of Personal Injury Solicitor will have:

• Experience of dealing with claimant personal injury matters which are litigated with ideally 3 years + PQE or relevant experience.
• A high-quality legal service to all clients.
• A good academic background and sound procedural knowledge of how to conduct civil court actions, especially using the Damages Portal for online issuing of claims.
• Excellent communication skills - experience in dealing with clients via telephone and face-to-face is essential.
• The ability to organise and prioritise workload.
• Self-sufficient and able to build own caseload.
