JOB PURPOSE

The Europe Personal Care Business Unit (BU) is a vital segment within the Global Personal Care Business Group, with an annual turnover of approximately €1.8bn, comprising 6 strategic markets (UK, Germany, France, Benelux, Italy & Poland) and 3 Personal Care Categories (Deodorants, Skin Cleansing, and Oral Care). This role is critical for driving sustainable profitable growth through powerful brands and innovation in a highly competitive landscape.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy & Commercial Partnering

1. Drive Personal Care Value Creation through a 3-year strategic plan.
2. Partner with UKI/Benelux General Managers to deliver strategic and operational objectives.
3. Collaborate with Deodorants and Skin Cleansing category leads on long-term strategies.
4. Develop short and long-term financial plans for competitive growth.
5. Impact innovation plans to deliver sound financial metrics.
6. Provide leadership and decision-making support to deliver business results.
7. Support cross-category Joint Business Plans (JBPs).

Performance Management

1. Deliver analytics of business performance to support General Managers.
2. Manage the setting and delivery of financial and operational targets.
3. Establish a strategic pricing framework.
4. Drive Gross Margin across all levers.
5. Implement BMI analytics to maximize ROI.
6. Manage risks and opportunities strategically.
7. Establish new Customer finance ways of working.

Leadership

1. Develop future-fit Commercial finance capabilities.
2. Support Customer Finance capabilities under the new BU organization.
3. Provide leadership support to Beauty & Wellbeing Finance Business Partner.
4. Foster an inclusive environment of high challenge and support.

This role leads an extended team of 9, with 4 direct reports (WL1s and WL2s, and UFLPs).

3. PCLT Europe, particularly Deo and Skin Cleansing Category Leads
