Personal Care Assistant for a senior lady P/T @ £12.21/hr in Billingham - BILLINGHAM - TS23

Also to provide holiday and sickness cover when required

An opportunity has arisen to join a team providing support to a lady living with MS in the Billingham area. The successful candidate will be reliable and have a positive approach to work.

Experience of using a hoist and familiarity with one-person hoisting is desirable, but full training will be given. Cover is required on alternative weekends and would include a split shift. Proposed hours would be:

1. 8 am to 10:15 am
2. 11:45 am to 12 pm
3. 3 pm to 5 pm
4. 9 pm to 10 pm

(daily total = 5.5 hours)

Duties to include:

• Assist with personal care
• Assist with transfer from wheelchair to recliner chair
• Preparation of evening meal
• Support with personal care
• Assistance with medication

A degree of flexibility will be required to ensure our client’s needs are met. Employment will be subject to successfully completing a training session. As our client is clinically vulnerable, it is desirable that the applicant is fully Covid vaccinated.

An enhanced DBS check will be required; however, the cost of this will be met by the employer.
