Personal Assistant for Fun Loving, Energetic Child

Location: Radstock - BA3

B is a 5-year-old boy with Autism, and his mum is looking for a fun, energetic person to look after him either at his home or in the community so she can spend time with his sibling.

B enjoys spending time on his iPad, singing, nursery rhymes, puzzles, park trips, being in his swing, swimming, and playing outside in the garden.

Main Duties:

• Support with personal care
• Keep a close eye on B at all times to ensure his safety
• Keep B company whilst mum is out

Essential Criteria:

• Must have a full understanding of Autism
• Be patient and caring
• Be quick on your feet as B can elope
• Full driving license
• Have a loving nature

Desirable Criteria:

• Have an understanding of Echolalia, as this is how B communicates

Personal Qualities & Attributes Required:

• Responsible, reliable, and trustworthy
• Good timekeeper
• Previous PA experience is desirable but not essential
• Good communication skills
• Respect for confidentiality and privacy

Hours:

6 hours per month on weekends, preferably 3 hours split over every other weekend.

8 hours per school holiday week.

Hours to be agreed at interview.

Pay:

Weekends: £11.44 per hour
Weekdays: £11.44 per hour
