Personal Assistant – DBUNCL

Hours: 10 hours per week initially, may be possible to extend subject to funding and negotiation with the successful candidate.

Rates of Pay: £12.00 per hour.

Area: Morpeth, Northumberland.

A kind and warm Personal Assistant is required to support a gentleman with complex needs in his family home. Responsibilities include:

1. Helping with personal care.
2. Cooking.
3. Engaging in appropriate and meaningful activities.

As a Personal Assistant, you would support with daily routines, housework, and meal preparation. An interest in cooking, music therapy, and the therapeutic use of art/craft and horticulture is desirable, alongside a willingness to undergo further training.

A person-centred approach, an understanding of autism, and a willingness to learn about deaf blindness/multisensory impairment would be beneficial. Deafblind intervener training is planned for the right person.
