Our client is looking for someone to have at least 4-6 years’ experience of Project finance transactions, as a member of front office team, or someone that has experience working within Credit Risk Management within the Project Finance team, gained within a reputable Bank.

Principle Purpose of the Job:

The Role

Permanent Structured Finance Assistant Manager Role within Project Finance - City of London based, global Foreign Bank.

Martis Search are representing a City of London based International Foreign Bank to hire a permanent “Structured Finance Assistant Manager.”

The role is a mix of hybrid working-from-home and in the office, but for the initial month of the contract, you will be required to be in the office 5 days per week to receive full training and onboarding.

Our client is looking for someone to have at least 2 years’ experience of Project finance transactions, as a member of front office team, or a credit reviewer in the credit risk management area.

Principle Purpose of the Job:

There are two main purposes: 1) to conduct due diligence (credit analysis) on new project finance transactions and 2) to monitor existing project finance transactions.

Principle Elements of the Job:
  1. To assist conducting Due Diligence (credit analysis) of new project finance transactions and to monitor existing project finance transactions the Branch invested.
  2. To put internal credit ratings on project finance transactions regularly and on an ad-hoc basis (if a credit event occurs).
  3. To attend lender meetings for monitoring purposes if needed.
  4. To create an internal authorisation process to get approval from Branch’s management when a borrower issues a consent request for lenders.
  5. To assist a deal closing team in Structured Finance Division, such as KYC when closing the transactions, funding requests to the Branch’s treasury, and drawdown over the course of loan life.
  6. To conduct research on various topics and produce reports such as regulatory framework in the EU area related to the Branch credit portfolio as and when required on an ad-hoc basis.
  7. To understand the Bank’s credit risk management framework, especially the Bank’s Internal Rating System.
  8. To attend meetings with relevant stakeholders such as borrowers, sponsors, and FAs if needed.
  9. To support the front team in Structured Finance Division to conduct due diligence (credit analysis) on new project finance transactions and to make investment proposals for Branch’s credit committee.
  10. To manage the documentation process of project finance transactions with Branch’s legal team.
  11. To assist the senior manager with internal Branch reporting when required.
  12. To update the Policy & Procedures of Structured Finance Division as and when needed.
  13. To conduct regular/occasional internal self-checks.
  14. To provide general clerical support to the Senior Manager.
  15. Such other duties as the management may, from time to time, reasonably require.
Salary

£75,000 k pa - £85,000 k pa, plus bonus, excellent pension, healthcare and other related benefits.
