Permanent Small Works Working Foreman (Reactive) - Edinburgh Area


Position: Permanent Small Works Working Foreman (Reactive)


Location: Edinburgh Area (Various Locations)


Salary: Competitive, based on experience


Type: Permanent, Full-time


Are you an experienced Working Foreman with a passion for small works and reactive projects? We're looking for a proactive, experienced individual to join a Global Contractor.


As a key part of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of reactive small works projects, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and oversee reactive small works projects from start to completion, ensuring quality and compliance with safety standards.
  2. Supervise and coordinate site teams, including subcontractors and tradespeople.
  3. Ensure all work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  4. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, maintaining excellent relationships.
  5. Carry out site inspections and risk assessments, addressing any issues proactively.
  6. Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed, including maintaining accurate documentation.
  7. Provide guidance and support to the team, ensuring skills development and high performance.


Essential Requirements:

  1. CSCS Card
  2. SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme)
  3. Strong understanding of construction processes and health & safety regulations.
  4. Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in small works or reactive maintenance.
  5. Excellent communication and leadership skills.


Preferred (but not essential):

  1. A background in Joinery would be advantageous, but we welcome candidates with another Trade background.
