Permanent Qualified Social Worker - Adults Mental Health Team

Role Purpose
• To provide a high quality and effective social work service, which responds to the needs of people with lived experiences with care and support needs, their informal carers and their families in a timely manner and within statutory guidelines. All assessments and support plans will be completed in accordance with the wellbeing principles of the Care Act 2014 and reflects a strengths-based approach.
• Guidance, support, and supervision will be provided in accordance with the individual's experience and capabilities and in line with our Supervision Policy.

Key Outputs

1. Demonstrable ability to work with people with lived experiences, recognising the council's Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion policy.
2. Completion of strengths-based Care Act and Mental Capacity assessments in a timely manner.
3. Ability to prioritise work under pressure, adapt their priorities to changes in demand and deliver to agreed deadlines.
4. Completion of person-centred support plans that reflect the expressed wishes of people with lived experiences, and/or their advocates.
5. Contribute to the prevention of risk of harm to maximise the safety and wellbeing of people with lived experiences.

Role Requirements
• Must hold a qualification in social work.
• Good demonstrable understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Mental Health Act, and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
