Overall Purpose of The Job:

  • Analyse and interpret complex data sets to draw insights.
  • Prepare reports and data dashboards for internal and external audiences.
  • Develop and maintain automated data processes.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • To analyse vessel performance and emissions data to identify actionable insights and optimisation opportunities.
  • To identify areas to increase efficiency and automation of processes.
  • To support the development and improvement of data analytics capabilities.
  • To ensure data integrity and accuracy in all reporting and analysis activities.
  • To gather, understand and document business requirements.
  • Support and lead the various work streams as required.
  • Attend other V.Group management offices as required.

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in maritime, data or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience with Python or similar language for data automation and analysis.
  • Knowledge of reporting packages such as PowerBi.
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc).

Desirable:

  • 1+ years of working experience as a data analyst or performance analyst.
  • Familiarity with vessel operations and related data sets.
  • Knowledge of databases and SQL.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to be self-motivated for planning and executing tasks and projects.
