At Cleo, we're not just building another fintech app. We're embarking on a mission to fundamentally change humanity's relationship with money. Imagine a world where everyone, regardless of background or income, has access to a hyper-intelligent financial advisor in their pocket. That's the future we're creating.

Cleo is a rare success story: a profitable, fast-growing unicorn with over $200 million in ARR and growing over 2x year-over-year. This isn't just a job; it's a chance to join a team of brilliant, driven individuals who are passionate about making a real difference. We have an exceptionally high bar for talent, seeking individuals who are not only at the top of their field but also embody our culture of collaboration and positive impact.

If you’re driven by complex challenges that push your expertise, the chance to shape something truly transformative, and the potential to share in Cleo’s success as we scale, while growing alongside a company that’s scaling fast, this might be your perfect fit.

As a Data Analyst on the People Analytics team, you’ll play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making across our HR and People functions. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze and interpret employee data, providing insights that support key initiatives like performance management, employee engagement, and retention. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to create actionable reports, develop dashboards, and identify trends that inform strategic business decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing:

You'll be at the forefront of transforming raw data into meaningful insights that drive decision-making across the People function. You’ll work closely with HR and People Operations to analyze employee data, develop dashboards, and create reports that track key metrics such as retention, engagement, and performance. Your work will provide the foundation for data-driven initiatives aimed at improving employee experience and business outcomes.

You'll dig into large datasets to identify patterns and trends, providing actionable insights that support workforce planning, organizational design, and performance management. You’ll also collaborate with stakeholders to enhance data collection methods and ensure that the data you’re working with is accurate, reliable, and aligned with our business needs.

Beyond reporting, you’ll be instrumental in optimizing our people analytics framework, helping to ensure that the systems and processes in place are scalable and adaptable as the company grows. Additionally, you’ll play a critical role in cross-functional projects, providing robust analysis that supports initiatives like diversity efforts, talent acquisition, and employee development. Whether you're delivering insights on attrition or presenting data on team performance, your work will help inform strategic decisions and operational improvements across the company.

What You'll Need:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within HR, People Analytics, or a similar field.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets.
  • Experience building and maintaining dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Mode).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Experience working with HR metrics and understanding of HR processes.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis.
  • Previous experience working with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, BambooHR).
  • Understanding of statistical analysis techniques.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive compensation package (base + equity) with bi-annual reviews, aligned to our quarterly OKR planning cycles.
  • Work at one of the fastest-growing tech startups, backed by top VC firms, Balderton & EQT Ventures.
  • A clear progression plan to support your growth.
  • Flexibility to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
  • Work where you work best, with a hybrid approach available for London-based employees.
  • Other benefits include company-wide performance reviews, generous pay increases for high performers, equity top-ups for promotions, 25 days annual leave (+ an additional day for every year at Cleo, up to 30 days), 6% employer-matched pension, private medical insurance, enhanced parental leave, a month paid sabbatical after 4 years, and more!

We strongly encourage applications from people of colour, the LGBTQ+ community, people with disabilities, neurodivergent people, parents, carers, and people from lower socio-economic backgrounds.
