Payroll & Benefits Partner - 12-month FTC Lancashire

Job SummaryPortfolio Payroll are currently working with a large family owned in the Blackburn area who are currently recruiting for a Payroll & Benefits Partner due to maternity cover to join their team. They provide a top class and unique working environment, work from home opportunity and great discounts! Key Duties/Tasks:. * Technical skills including relevant payroll systems experience & excel skills * Support the busy payroll department high volume starters and leavers * Experience dealing with multiple payrolls of varying shift patterns * Must have very strong Excel (VLookUps/Pivot Tables) * High volume and fast paced role * Provide comprehensive advice to employees in relation to payroll queries * Ensuring all necessary payments are made within the deadlines set, for example Reconciliations. * Manual calculations * Experience of T & A system useful * Experience of bureau/client payroll useful * iTrent system ideally Desirable skills and attributes: * Previous payroll experience in a fast paced and high-volume environment * A keen eye for detail * Enjoy working within a team * Excellent communicator as you will be answering queries * CIPP advantageous not essential * Bureau experience very helpful Benefits * Pension contributions as standard * Free parking on-site * Up to 34 days paid holiday each year * Hybrid working * Birthday off * Great discounts * Flexitime workingNormal working hours are 37.5 hours per week, 9:00am to 5.30pm with 1-hour unpaid break.
