As a Senior Pensions Advisor, you will play a crucial role in the efficient and effective management of the pension schemes for our client. Working closely with the Scheme Manager and other stakeholders, your responsibilities will include:
In addition, you should have the knowledge of pensions legislation and be comfortable working with financial data, undertaking complex calculations, and analysing data to identify trends and challenges.
Even if you don't have pension knowledge but have a payroll background or are logically minded, can following processes, read and interpret legislation and have strong excel skills we would also be interested in hearing from you.
Providing expert advice and coaching on all aspects of pension management to our client, ensuring excellent customer service and delivering real value to the organisation.
Assisting with the running of Firefighter Pension Schemes and acting as a service contact for external bodies regarding pension matters.
Managing the Pensions Administration and Payroll contract, including performance management.
Guiding managers and employees on pension and retirement processes.
Liaising with Finance and Payroll departments on pension-related matters and acting as the main point of contact with pension administrators.
Undertaking research and project work on key issues or specific initiatives, such as McCloud/Sargeant and Matthews, to ensure regulatory and legal compliance.
Providing all necessary documentation to pension administrators in accordance with contractual arrangements.
Keeping managers informed of pension changes, conducting risk assessments, and handling complex pension-related matters.
Providing updates for publication on the organisation's intranet regarding key pension matters.
Ensuring accurate monthly administrative processes for employees opting in and out of the Pension Schemes.
Supporting payroll in dealing with situations that impact pensionable pay, such as Industrial Action.
Attending regional and national conferences/meetings to stay up to date with pension schemes.
