Specialist Physiotherapist, Pelvic Health Band 6 University Hospitals Dorset (Cross site) Part time up to 0.55 WTE / 20.5 hours per week
Christchurch and Poole are friendly, welcoming hospitals where the PH physiotherapists are part of the outpatient physiotherapy team and well-integrated into the MDT and Maternity services delivering care to Gynae, Uro-gynae, Colorectal, Men's Health, Antenatal MSK, Perinatal Pelvic Health, including post-natal in and outpatient work which will be at the new BEACH maternity unit Royal Bournemouth site. You will have a keen interest to develop your skills in all aspects of Pelvic Health.

Main duties of the job
You will:
- Provide evidence-based, specialist care to perinatal, urogynecology, male & colorectal patients.
- Contribute to key aspects of the service, mentoring of Band 5 and students and supporting the wider Pelvic Health Physiotherapy team, including cross-site and off-site working.
- Promote and deliver a high quality, evidence-based, customer-focused service.
- Work within national and local guidelines, including working at off-site clinics.
Person Specification
You will have:
- Degree (BSc Hons Physiotherapy) or equivalent
- Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of all pelvic health case types and if possible, also have some experience with complex and varied pelvic health caseloads.
- MSK experience and an understanding about onward MSK care
- Working knowledge of Badgernet or similar Maternity systems, or willingness to learn new system, and familiarity of acute care provision to perinatal inpatients and escalation of AN MSK care
- Experience of working successfully in partnership with consultants, midwives and other relevant medical practitioners, for example within an MDT or shared pathway and participating in creating innovative solutions for new services
- Experience leading patient groups both in person and virtually

Qualifications
- Current HCPC registered Physiotherapist
- Full or Affiliate member of POGP
Experience
- Experience working in NHS
- At least 2 years post graduate physiotherapy experience
- Have had experience of Band 5-6 MSK outpatient Physiotherapy
- Experience of using electronic patient/service user record systems
- Proven advanced clinical assessment/ reasoning/ problem solving skills within clinical area
- Have had some experience working as a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist in a professional setting

- Demonstrable knowledge of current relevant guidelines in Pelvic health
- Demonstrable professional development relevant to Pelvic Health
Other Requirements Specific to the Role
- Willingness to attend external and internal CPD opportunities and to share this learning within the Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Team and wider MDT
- Ability to effectively manage available resources in the pursuit of quality service provision ensuring a safe environment
- Have completed courses for urinary and colorectal dysfunction and AN PN MSK and common symptoms [POGP or equivalent]

- Demonstrate experience of working within an NHS team
