Are you a dedicated and compassionate PE Teacher with experience working within Special Educational Needs (SEN) provisions? Do you have the enthusiasm and expertise to engage students with diverse learning needs and help them thrive through physical activity? Our education agency is seeking a skilled PE Teacher to work with Key Stage 3/4 students within one of our partner schools.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver PE lessons tailored to the individual needs of Key Stage 3/4 students with a range of SEN, including behavioral challenges.
Use differentiated approaches to ensure all students can participate and benefit from physical activity, regardless of ability.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, self-confidence, and well-being.
Work closely with SEN support staff to ensure appropriate adjustments are made to support student engagement and progress.
Encourage and facilitate participation in extracurricular activities, including adapted sports and fitness programs.
Monitor and assess the progress of students, providing regular feedback to parents and school staff.
Promote and model healthy lifestyles and well-being for all students.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent preferred but not essential.
Degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
Experience teaching PE within an SEN setting (Key Stage 3/4 preferred).
Strong understanding of SEN needs and how to adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong, supportive relationships with students.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
