PE Teacher in Secondary School based in Portsmouth


Starting September - Long term contract


Pay - £150 - £210


Location - Portsmouth


Hours - 8:00am - 4:00pm Temporary full-time

Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate PE Teacher to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality physical education lessons to students across various age groups. This role requires a commitment to inspiring a love for physical activity, promoting healthy lifestyles, and developing students' skills and confidence in a range of sports and physical activities.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging PE lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  2. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and development.
  3. Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  4. Organise and supervise extracurricular sports activities, clubs, and events.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices in physical education.
  6. Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during PE lessons and activities.
  7. Maintain and manage PE equipment and resources effectively.
Requirements:
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  2. Degree in Physical Education or a related field.
  3. Proven experience teaching PE, preferably in a secondary school setting.
  4. Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements for PE.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
  7. Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with educational best practices.
