Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging PE lessons to students across various age groups and abilities, promoting the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy living.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons in accordance with the national curriculum, ensuring that all students are challenged and supported to reach their full potential.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated and encouraged to participate in physical activities.
- Develop and implement schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessment strategies to monitor student progress effectively.
- Organize and oversee extracurricular sports clubs, tournaments, and events to provide students with opportunities for further skill development and competitive participation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote cross-curricular links and integrate physical education with other subjects where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and performance, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and senior leadership as required.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a relevant degree or equivalent in Physical Education or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Physical Education at the secondary level, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- A passion for promoting physical fitness, health, and well-being among young people.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the wider life of the school community.
