An established industry player is seeking a skilled PCB Layout Engineer to join their innovative team. In this role, you will work on cutting-edge PCB designs for advanced aircraft defensive systems, collaborating with hardware and microwave engineers to create complex multi-layer PCBs. You'll utilize the latest tools to ensure optimal performance and manufacturability while adhering to industry standards. Our Electronics Engineering Function is looking to grow its PCB Layout team to work on designs across its portfolios, specifically to support our collaboration on the Global Combat Air Program. This is an excellent opportunity to work on some of the most cutting-edge PCB designs, across a wide variety of technologies, multi-layer analogue and high-speed digital, power and specialist comms and interfaces at ultra-high frequencies 40GHz and beyond.
What you’ll do as a PCB Layout Engineer:
You will collaborate with Hardware and Microwave engineers across varied projects to develop innovative PCB layouts, from import of schematics, component creation and placement. Followed by routing of high-speed power and mixed signals for thermal management and electromagnetic compatibility. Finalising the designs with accurate design documentation (Gerbers, Assembly drawings and BOMs). You will use and develop your skills to deliver complex designs, whilst utilising the latest Siemens toolchain while complying with the latest defence and industry standards to meet the requirements of the project and ensuring optimal performance and manufacturability.

Candidates should be familiar with current industry-standard ECAD tools used for PCB design and layout. It is desirable that you have experience with Siemens Xpedition, although toolset training will be provided.
