Job description

Are you experienced with the end-to-end payroll process? We are supporting a growing accountancy firm based in Carlisle to hire a Payroll Assistant on a full time permanent basis.

This role will start as 5 days on site and will move to hybrid after 6 months.

Key Responsibilities for the Payroll Assistant:
  1. Supporting with all aspects of the client payroll
  2. Provide a bespoke service tailored to each client's needs
  3. Covering all aspects of technical payroll, including benefits, Year end processes, online HMRC submissions
  4. Liaise with both clients & HMRC in a professional manner
  5. Working closely with a range of company sizes from small family businesses to large group companies
Key Skills for the Payroll Assistant:
  1. Strong all-round technical knowledge and experience with payroll processes
  2. Excellent communication skills
  3. Previous experience in a similar role
