Title: Payroll Manager (Education sector)

Salary: GBP50,000

Contract: Permanent

Location: South London

Hybrid: 3/2 split


We're seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead the education sector payroll operations within a payroll bureau environment. This pivotal role involves managing end–to–end payroll services for educational institutions while helping to shape and enhance the service offerings to meet the specific needs of this specialised sector.


Responsibilities:
  1. Spearhead education–focused payroll projects and system improvements.
  2. Collaborate with leadership on integration of new technologies and enhanced reporting capabilities.
  3. Oversee team output, ensuring quality control before client delivery.
  4. Handle complex education sector payrolls with precision and timeliness.
  5. Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation affecting educational institutions.
  6. Build strong client relationships through regular, clear communication.
  7. Provide expert guidance on payroll matters to both clients and their staff.
  8. Support educational clients with specialised reporting requirements.
  9. Facilitate new PAYE scheme setups and transitions.

What You'll Bring:
