Payroll Manager

Portfolio Payroll are working with a well-established growing business based in Middleton M24 1SW who is looking for a hands-on Payroll Manager to join their growing team.

Reporting into the head of HR you will be responsible for overseeing 2 payroll assistants as well as:

1. Lead, mentor, and support the payroll team, providing guidance and fostering professional development.
2. Calculating wage increments, overtime payments and public holiday pay.
3. Produce the annual Gender Pay Report in line with regulatory requirements.
4. Issuing cash, cheques or bank transfers for employee payments, depending on the business.
5. Manage workload distribution, set priorities, and ensure deadlines are met.
6. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
7. Analysing and reporting on payroll data.
8. Developing and refining payroll procedures.
