We are delighted to be partnered with our successful and friendly client as they seek to recruit a Payroll Administrator to join their team at their well-appointed, modern offices in Haywards Heath. This role is a part-time position for approx 20 hours per week or possibly more. For the right person, my client would even consider full-time hours.

Payroll Administrator

Part-time permanent role - my client is very happy to consider school-friendly hours.

20 hours plus per week - could even be full-time.

Role based in Haywards Heath.

There is plenty of free parking on-site available for all staff.

Salary: GBP 32,000 per year depending on experience levels plus good company benefits. This amount is based upon the full-time equivalent (37.5 hours per week) and will be pro-rata for part-time hours accordingly.

This is an excellent opportunity to use your payroll experience in a busy and friendly team. Any experience of using Bright Pay software is highly desirable. Xero software experience is also advantageous.

The Role - Payroll Administrator

As a Payroll Administrator, you will manage end-to-end payroll processes for multiple clients.

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has a strong grasp of payroll regulations, is detail-oriented, and passionate about providing excellent service.

Duties will include:

  1. Manage the full payroll cycle for multiple clients, ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time.
  2. Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll legislation.
  3. Collect, verify, and input payroll data from various sources.
  4. Act as the primary point of contact for clients on payroll-related inquiries.
  5. Prepare and submit necessary statutory reports.
  6. Use payroll software to process payroll, update client information, and manage tax codes and pay rates.

Experience, Competencies, and Knowledge Required:

  1. Strong attention to detail.
  2. Payroll qualification or qualified by experience with a payroll role.
  3. Xero and/or Bright Pay software experience.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Experience managing multiple clients, balancing deadlines, and prioritizing tasks.
