£12.25 per hour

Our Patient Services Team at our Haywards Heath Hospital currently have an opportunity for a Bank Patient Services Administrator. Start your journey with us whilst we'll support you to be your best.

The Role

You'll be a smart, friendly and enthusiastic member of the team providing vital administrative support provisionally in a front-line role. Duties include acting as first point of contact for all visitors to the Hospital and handling and managing incoming calls. Your IT and organisational skills will be supported by an excellent telephone manner. You will interact with Consultants, Patients, and Colleagues, being sensitive to our customers' needs and providing excellent customer service. Administration and keyboard skills are required. Previous experience of working in a customer service environment is preferred, but not essential. Full training will be provided. Flexibility is essential as you will be required to work early mornings and late evenings/weekends.


Key tasks

  1. Meeting and greeting patients
  2. Answering calls, dealing with enquiries and arranging appointments
  3. Preparing clinic paperwork
  4. Registering customers and providing clear directions to the relevant areas of the hospital
  5. Providing administrative support to clinical staff as required
  6. Accuracy in data inputting and able to work under pressure
  7. Flexibility in working pattern and duties
  8. Ability to learn and work across a number of departments as required
  9. Previous Knowledge or experience of working within healthcare administration / reception or hospitality industry is preferable but not essential
  10. Good IT and Keyboard Skills Required
  11. Good communication/interpersonal skills
  12. Self-motivated and able to work alone and as part of a team
  13. Well presented with strong customer service skills
