Job Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated and driven individual for the post of Patient Safety and Quality Officer to join the Patient Safety Team at Doncaster and Bassetlaw NHS Foundation Trust.
The Patient Safety and Quality Officer will be responsible for providing support and lead on the efficient functioning of all aspects of Patient safety and learning from events, including collaboration with the Lead Nurse for Patient Safety and the Patient Safety Team. To work autonomously using own initiative in order to develop and innovate services for the function of patient safety, working closely with colleagues as required in order to deliver key strategic and operational objectives.
The post holder will work collaboratively with the Patient Safety Investigation Leads and Patient Safety Team to provide expert resource for the planning, implementation, development, maintenance and review all aspects of the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework learning from events process at Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Support with aspects of managing incidents on the incident management system, Datix.
The post holder will work autonomously in preparing agendas for meetings, take accurate notes/minutes and manage and maintain the action logs. They will be required to undertake all the administration for organising the meeting, ensuring key stakeholders are at the meeting and juggling diaries to accommodate the slots on the executive panel.
