A well-respected specialist school near Godalming is looking for an Intervention and Pastoral Assistant to support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The students range between 10 and 16 years old, facing a variety of social, emotional, and mental health challenges including trauma, anxiety, OCD, and behavioral issues. Therefore, the school requires an Intervention and Pastoral Assistant who is dedicated to being a consistent role model, committed to building strong relationships, empathetic, and ready for a challenge! The school is located in the beautiful Surrey Hills in Godalming and has on-site parking.
The ideal candidate must be open-minded, resilient, and knowledgeable about mental health. Experience with SEN children and/or adults in any setting is preferred. Graduates in Psychology, Criminology, or Counselling would also be ideal for this position.
