Purpose of the Role:
To provide car parts support, maintain and improve the TPC logistics stock and lifing functions both electronically and physically, to enable effective running of the TPC programme.
Ensuring stock control, correct build and kitting practices, servicing routines are maintained, components and assemblies are fit for use.
Deliver stock and parts logistics programs to support events both at and away from the McLaren Technology Centre (MTC).
Role Dimensions:
The position will involve unsociable hours and substantial weekend work, including significant event attendance and overseas travel. You will collaborate closely with the TPC Project Management team to ensure quantities of parts and spares are available to meet the TPC event schedule.
You will be responsible for the co-ordination of component servicing, kitting, lifing, logistics and stock control within an area/areas as specified by the logistics manager. Whilst at events, you may also be required to undertake other on and off car activities in order to support the event and the wider TPC function, as dictated by the TPC build manager.
You will have excellent understanding of car component stock management and parts flow in a Formula One and test car environment. This is to include the archiving of components at end of use.
On occasion, you may also be required to support in areas outside of the TPC programme, including but not exclusive to; Current F1 activities and Heritage.
