Industry Partnerships Account Manager / Partner Manager who has excellent relationship management and account management skills with the ability to manage complex client-facing projects and develop industry and commercial relationships is required for a well-respected Academy based in South Kirkby, West Yorkshire.

SALARY: starting from £40,000 per annum + Benefits

LOCATION: South Kirkby, West Yorkshire

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 08:30 – 17:30 Monday to Friday
(occasional weekend and evening work will be required from time to time)

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Industry Partnerships Account Manager / Partner Manager who has excellent relationship management and account management skills with the ability to manage complex client-facing projects and develop industry and commercial relationships.

Working as the Industry Partnerships Account Manager / Partner Manager you will bridge the gap between industry leaders, academic teams, and research communities within the live events and creative industries. This role combines two core functions: managing high-value industry partnerships, and fostering a thriving, engaged research community.

As the Industry Partnerships Account Manager / Partner Manager you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with industry partners and members, ensuring parties derive maximum value from the engagement.

This is a multi-faceted role covering:

Industry Partnerships: You will work closely with internal teams to manage existing partnerships, and develop new partnerships, that provide financial and developmental support for academic programs, research, and student experience opportunities.

Research Memberships: You will develop and maintain a committed membership community of businesses, organisations, and professionals. You will oversee membership subscriptions, enhance member engagement, and drive growth.

The Industry Partnerships Account Manager: You will play a key role in ensuring the organisation remains at the forefront of industry developments - providing partners and members with access to cutting-edge research, business and talent development opportunities, and technological advancements.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Industry Partnerships Account Manager / Partner Manager include:

Industry Partnerships

  1. Attend relevant industry events and networking opportunities
  2. Identify and secure industry partnerships, negotiating terms and ensuring successful implementation of agreements
  3. Act as the primary point of contact for industry partners, managing day-to-day relationships
  4. Generate careers and employability experiences and opportunities for students and graduates
  5. Work closely with internal teams to assess product support requirements and source industry partners to meet those needs
  6. Facilitate the contribution of partners into the development of new professional training courses and commercial offerings
  7. Track and analyse relevant partnership data, producing reports to demonstrate progress and impact

Research Memberships Management

  1. Oversee the membership community, managing inquiries, subscriptions, and relationships with members
  2. Foster a strong, committed, and high-performing research community, organising and facilitating client meetings, workshops, and other member activities
  3. Ensure that members are engaged and derive value from their membership
  4. Collaborate with the marketing team to organise events and communications
  5. Support the development and implementation of funding and bid opportunities for members
  6. Track and report membership performance

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  1. Familiarity with relationship management and account management processes and best practice
  2. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
  3. Ability to prioritise, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  4. Leadership skills to motivate and guide teams, ensuring efficient project execution
  5. High level of autonomy, with the ability to work independently and make informed decisions

DESIRABLE

  1. Familiarity with contemporary live event performance, production technologies, and industry contexts
  2. Background in leading or supporting R&D projects, ideally in the creative industries
  3. Awareness of UK R&D tax relief and funding opportunities for research and development
  4. Understanding of the live events industry's cultural, social, and commercial dynamics
