What to expect in this role
As a Kitchen Assistant at Peverel Court Care, you will be responsible, under the direction of the Manager or Senior person in charge, for assisting the Chef in any kitchen duties as required, promoting the psychological, emotional, physical, intellectual, and social wellbeing of residents.
Hours: 16 hours per week
Example shift times: 9:00am - 18:00pm. Occasional weekends included.
What we expect of you
- To ensure the wellbeing of the residents and to maximise their quality of life by aiding and encouraging each resident to reach their full potential.
- To promote good working practices and perform duties competently and in accordance with company policies to ensure a safe and secure environment for both residents and staff.
- To effectively deal with any accidents and follow correct reporting procedures.
- Demonstrate outstanding time management, problem-solving, organisational, and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), and confidence in communicating with people at all levels while maintaining confidentiality when required.
- A strong service mindset and flexible can-do approach.
- Strong judgement and decision-making ability.
- Energy, enthusiasm, and confidence to take the initiative.
