About The Role:

This Health Care Assistant position at a friendly clinic in South Cambridge offers a chance to work with an award-winning Plastic Surgeon. You will play a key role in supporting patients through surgical and medical procedures, as well as assisting with administrative and patient management tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Patient Interaction: Greeting and supporting patients throughout their journey at the clinic, from pre-procedure through to aftercare.
• Surgical Support: Assisting the Plastic Surgeon during surgical and medical procedures.
• Maintaining Sterile Environments: Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene in the clinic before, during, and after procedures.
• Administrative Duties: Assisting with patient records and supporting the Practice Manager where needed.
• Patient Care: Providing emotional support and guidance during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Aftercare: Helping with post-procedure care and follow-ups, ensuring patients’ recovery process is monitored.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience as a Health Care Assistant (Level 3 or equivalent).
• Comfortable working in a clinical setting during medical and surgical procedures.
• Knowledge of Health & Hygiene best practices.
• Compassionate, supportive, and professional demeanour.
• Willing to undergo training and development to enhance skills in healthcare and patient support.

Working Hours:

• Typical hours: 24 hours per week over 3 days.
• Flexibility may be required depending on clinic needs.
• The clinic operates Monday to Friday, with no regular work on Bank Holidays.

The clinic closes between Christmas and New Year (you will need to save 3 days of annual leave for this).
