This family-owned, hugely successful business is a leader in its field and is looking to replace their current FC who is retiring after a number of years with the organisation. The role is based in their wonderful premises and I am delighted to be assisting them with the appointment of a part-time Financial Controller.

Your new role
You will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring the accuracy of the key financial reports, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the MD and budget holders.

This is the ideal role for someone who is a passionate accountant, who thrives on their work, but who, for whatever reason, is now looking to work reduced hours without compromising on the level of the role they are undertaking.

Assisting the Managing Director you will be involved in:

• Producing the monthly management accounts
• Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Cash flow forecasting & modelling
• Budgetary analysis
• Stock control
• VAT returns
• Corporate Tax calculations
• Continual process improvement where needed

What you'll need to succeed
You will be:

• A fully Qualified Accountant - CIMA, ACCA or ACA or 'qualified by experience'
• Actively seeking a part-time role
• Able to self-manage, meeting deadlines & targets
• Liaise with non-finance budget holders
• Work in a fast-paced, reactive environment
• Own transport is essential
