Part-time Finance role in Kings Lynn, working 25-36 hours a week in the office

Your new company
Hays Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be supporting an international business with a £200m turnover based in Kings Lynn in their search for a part-time Finance Assistant/Bookkeeper. They are able to offer flexible working hours of between 25-36 hours per week which can be worked across typical school hours of 9.00am - 2pm each day or longer working hours on a flexible 3 or 4 days a week in the office.

Your new role
The role involves managing all aspects of the purchase ledger, from obtaining POs, authorisation for payment, uploading onto the finance software through to reconciling supplier statements and dealing with supplier queries. You will also deal with expenses, credit card payments as well as foreign currency payments. You will be working in a small finance team and supporting the Management Accountant with monthly tasks, and covering office manager duties when needed.

You will also have the responsibilities of shareholding reconciliation and summaries, administering the employee benefit share schemes by liaising with payroll, tracking any staff movements, and raising minutes as needed, as well as providing ESG support by collecting data across the group.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced purchase ledger clerk / Bookkeeper who is looking for a part-time office-based role in Kings Lynn. As explained, the business offers flexible working of between 25-36 hours a week, which can be worked around typical school hours. You will be working for a large corporate business which operates across 7 countries, but based in the Head Office and taking responsibility for Head Office invoices. They have a small Head Office with 3 people in finance, including you, and they prefer you to be office-based.
