Part-Time Finance Assistant

Shrewsbury

Temp to perm

Monday - Friday, 22 - 30 hours per week flexible full or part days

Up to £25,350 per annum pro rata (£13 per hour)

Our Shrewsbury-based client has a Part-Time Finance Assistant vacancy to join their finance team. The client is flexible with the working hours and will consider candidates who want between 22 - 30 hours a week, working either full or part days. You will work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure accurate and timely financial processing. The role offers a varied workload and the chance to get involved in key areas of finance and administration.

You will be responsible for:
  1. Raise sales invoices and applications for payment.
  2. Perform credit control tasks including initial, final, and retention invoice chasing.
  3. Maintain and update the bank reconciliation spreadsheet.
  4. Process purchase invoices (non-CIS and CIS).
  5. Match and check supplier statements.
  6. Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs.
  7. Process 'Payments Out' and 'Payments In'.
  8. Prepare and submit CIS statements.
  9. Input new supplier and project codes.
  10. Support monthly data extraction and financial analysis.
  11. Input journals.
  12. Assist with administration of vehicle records and related accounts.
  13. Process new supplier forms.
Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have previous accounts experience and be happy to take on some administration tasks. You will need to be comfortable working with spreadsheets and financial data.
